Account Manager - Full Time (click for details)

Uptown Communication House fosters individuals that are confident, independent and able to take initiative, with a sense of urgency and the ability to make decisions. The Account Manager responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities, requiring rapid shifts in priorities. Account Managers develop and drive account strategy, build strategic alliances and manage relationships within Rogers Business Solutions customer base.

Account Managers lead 2 key business objectives:

  • Seeking and identifying areas for new and expanded customer growth
  • Selling Rogers Business solutions including but not limited to wireless, business cable and wireline products and services

These objectives are accomplished through targeted prospecting, hunting, and closing. Our highest performing team members react and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical ideas for dealing with them.


  • Cold calling prospective Rogers clients
  • Promoting and selling wireless and wireline services
  • Building trust, loyalty and solid long-term relationships with key decision-makers
  • Understanding current and prospective customers’ communication needs, business issues, and buying motives
  • Conducting “needs analysis” for clients’ wireless and wireline services
  • Delivering the right solution for clients’ evolving business requirements with prompt and efficient service
  • Owning executive-level client relationships, strategic business planning and service delivery
  • Negotiation & entering into contractual agreements in accordance with Rogers? policy and procedures
  • Providing accurate and timely forecasts, funnel hygiene, target/objective updates to deliver on all territory plans and team annual targets
  • Utilizing client business plan to create account plans
  • Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by leading the account team to drive real and long standing business value
  • Positively represent Rogers values at work and in the community
  • Experience with, or an affinity for, volunteerism and community involvement is a decided asset


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business-to-business sales and account management with a focus of consultative sales.
  • The ability to get in the door: hunting, networking and cold calling experience.
  • Technology knowledge leader: Office, tablets, smart phones, and applications.
  • Brilliant communication and presentation skills
  • Outside business-to-business sales experience
  • Skilled in solution based or consultative based selling techniques
  • Solution selling or customer-centric sales methodology knowledge and experience is an asset

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to think and act strategically, including navigation through all levels of a client or prospect organization
  • Selecting and qualifying profitable opportunities
  • Ability to deliver on growth and profitability
  • Demonstrated success managing both short and long-term selling cycles while effectively and consistently applying a multi-step step selling process/methodology.
  • Evidence of selling and effectively managing customer relationships
  • 2-5+ years of successful sales experience in the IT or telecommunications industry
  • Previous experience in one of the following verticals would be an asset: Finance, Insurance, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Transportation, Healthcare/Pharmaceutical
  • Local travel is required: A valid driver’s license is required (driving abstract/record will be reviewed and must meet the Rogers Corporate standard); you must provide your own vehicle.

Required Professional Designation/Certification

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience (sales experience blended with new business development)

Sales Associates - Full Time (click for details)

This role requires someone who is passionate about the retail industry, has a proven track record for driving sales, provides exceptional customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced, highly competitive sales environment.


  • Drive the sales of products and services by achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Determine customer needs and recommend the best solutions
  • Build customer relationships by providing prompt and exceptional sales and after sales service
  • Ensure customer concerns are resolved with urgency and good judgment
  • Stay knowledgeable about our product, services, promotions and policies

Special Events - Street Team Ambassador - Part Time (click for details)

This role requires someone who is passionate about the retail industry, has a proven track record for driving sales, provides exceptional customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced, highly competitive sales environment.

As a Street Team ambassador, you will engage in promotional activity and gather attention from customers. You will be responsible for driving traffic into the store location to help increase sales. If you’re looking for an active role and a look into promotions within a marketing retail environment – this is for you!

Job Description:

  • The role of the Street Team ambassador is to engage passers-by through providing promotional flyers and driving traffic into the location.
  • Promote Rogers and/or Fido offers
  • Manage the social media accounts on Uptown/Intown during events to boost activity, awareness and interaction online
  • Goal is to increase awareness, obtain leads from these unrepresented groups, increase incremental sales
  • Street team ambassadors must stay up to date with current offers and promotions via websites provided and weekly updates provided
  • Street team ambassador is required to submit feedback post-event
  • Ensure customers walk into the store for further details from sales representatives on-site
  • Attend quarterly meetings
  • Ensure customers leave with a smile!
